PROJECT BREAK...
Throughout the section, you will investigate a chosen ecosystem within Alberta. You are required to complete a variety of tasks in the form of a project zine.
Today, you are required to choose the ecosystem you would like to complete your research on. Choose wisely, because once you begin, you CANNOT change your mind. Each zone is incredibly diverse and will offer many opportunities to learn something new and demonstrate your creativity. Refer to the project criteria to complete this portion of your zine. You will have 1 class to organize your title page of your zine, showing the chosen ecosystem and the inside cover describing your ecosystem.
PROJECT BREAK...
Consider your chosen Alberta ecosystem. Create a page in your zine devoted to all the abiotic and biotic factors in your ecosystem. You do not need to show their interaction, simply provide a labelled illustration of the different factors. You have 1 class to complete this activity. PROJECT BREAK...
You will have 2 classes to choose any biotic factor from your ecosystem (plant or animal) and must explain how they have adapted to survive in their environment. You will have one class for research and computer time, and 1 class to put it all together. Work hard! PROJECT BREAK...
You will have 4 classes to describe 3 symbiotic relationships in your ecosystem. You must include all 3 types of relationships. You will have one class for research and computer time for EACH relationship (3 classes total), and 1 class to put it all together. Work hard! |
Consider your ecosystem and do some research on a living thing that has adapted to live there. Come to class prepared to type up your "adaptations" section of your zine.
