God can be found in many different places, and many different forms. We see God in the CATHOLIC church. The church is a place where everyone can come regardless of creed, colour, or background, and feel love and acceptance. The church is UNIVERSAL.

The Pentecost
Pentecost is a Christian holiday that takes place 50 days after Easter Day. During the Pentecost, the Holy Spirit descended upon the apostles and other followers of Jesus. Read the story of Pentecost with a partner, and fill in the "while you read" sheet provided.
Task: Retell the story of the Pentecost from the perspective of a visitor to the region who knew very little about Jesus. Your retell can be in any form: song, interpretive dance, children's book, comic strip or narrative.

The Fruits of the Holy Spirit
|
By contrast, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against such things. And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live by the Spirit, let us also be guided by the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, competing against one another, envying one another. Galatians 5.22-26 |
React: After completing the "Fruits" task, pick a fruit in your life that needs special attention. This may be one that needs some work or that you feel is missing from your life. DISCUSS with a partner:

SolidarityWe live in solidarity with others when we see their needs as our own needs and their hopes as our hopes. Making others dreams come true is as important to us as helping make our own dreams comet true. Others success is our success just as others failure is our failure. Solidarity means "being as one". The Trinity is the perfect model of solidarity. It reminds us that life lived in solidarity with others is life lived God's way.
